Happy Birthday Johno!!!!!

Congratulations on reaching such a great milestone...Good work mate....All this from a boy from the bush.

We are sorry we could not be there today to celebrate it with you. Cara and I have run around the city of Ackay, celebrating in your style as if you are right here with us.  All I can say is that I feel sick, and feel like I have already added another belt size. In this town, there is the most number of Icecream Parlours I have ever seen in one place.

Have a great day Today though, God knows you have had a great month into the lead up.

Cara says;
70 years ago today a leader was born, who grew into a wooing poetry writing husband (of the lucky bride), a proud father to three children - watching everystep with love, a collector of antique's.... the list could go on.... ok I'll continue... a connoisseur of coffee and all things delectiable!  The friendly face at all family gatherings, providing the "speech" making that part of your throat close up and tears appear (except for curtis of course),  consistantly finding solace in your garden and music,  a pillar of strength for your "crew's" at Char and Jellyfish.  These are the things I think of when your name is mentioned and Curtis and I talk about home and our families, we miss the maddness a quite coffee up the road brings, and wish you a very wonderful fullfilling birthday today.  Doing all the things you love for a day was hard as I'm sure my heart palpitations might send me over the edge!  Enjoy the pictures!!  Lots of love from a srinking constant companion.

we started with chocolate - making sure we ate it in 30 seconds




then we needed a nap




and then an icecream





and then another nap





woke up hungry and of course had another icecream




took in some local art



selected a piece that suits the french quarter





happy with purchase so had another icecream





appreciated the local sculptures and history



did some gardening



built up more energy to garden with some cakes





ate cakes really really quickly




started to feel sick but continued to eat cakes





contemplated another icecream, but decided no and went shopping for belts instead





but as i rounded the corner there were four icecream shops all lined up for me - so off i ran





and thought what the heck I'll get another icecream!




definately feeling sick now..
